vanessa hattoum design

vanessa graduated with a bachelors of art in environmental design from parsons school of design , NYC, in 1992, and a masters of architecture from sci-arc, L.A., in 1997. she was a lead designer in several NYC based architecture and design firms, working on hospitality, retail and corporate architecture, interiors, furniture, and graphic design projects and assisted several artists and architects on independent intallations. as well, vanessa worked on set productions, for vh-1 and independent film productions, assisted in teaching design studios at parsons, sci-Arc and carnegie mellon university, and curated several fine art exhibits.

while in toronto, vanessa worked as lead designer at hariri pontarini architects, project manager at italinteriors contract and participated in all aspects of paperspace studio events.

currently vanessa resides in southern california, where she established her company, vanessa hattoum design. her primary focus is design of all things, including residential and commercial spaces, furniture, lighting, landscape, graphics... as well, she is involved in several child/teen mentoring programs, including wilderness youth project and mentor happenings.

utilizing local trades and materials whenever possible, vanessa goes beyond the 'green' standards to create innovative interior and exterior spaces that protect your health and our natural resources.
